How can cranberries help?

Cranberries have been used for centuries to treat urinary tract infections (UTI) and other illnesses. Now modern medical research has confirmed the beneficial effect that cranberries have on the health of the urinary tract1.

Cranberries contain certain compounds (proanthocyanidins or PACs), which can help prevent urinary tract infections by stopping bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall. Research suggests that this effect may last for up to 10 hours. Commencing Cystopurin treatment, which contains potassium citrate and natural cranberry juice extract, at the first sign of cystitis will usually help you feel better within a few hours.
